Villa Ventures - Uluwatu Bali
Villa Ventures is a completed architectural villa project located in Uluwatu, on Jalan Labuan Sait, Bali. Set within a tropical hillside context, the design brings together soft contemporary forms, layered stone textures, warm interiors, and generous glass openings to create a private retreat that feels closely connected to its surrounding landscape.
The project was completed in March 2026. I was involved throughout the process, contributing to both the design development and construction journey until the villa was fully built and completed. This experience allowed me to take part not only in shaping the architectural concept, but also in helping translate the design into a real, finished space.
Architecture and Atmosphere
The villa is characterized by rounded architectural edges, expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing, layered terraces, and planted roof areas that soften the building mass. Natural stone walls and sculptural rock textures are used throughout the exterior and interior, giving the project a strong relationship with the land while maintaining a refined resort-like atmosphere.
The spatial layout creates a sequence of private indoor and outdoor moments, including open living spaces, shaded terraces, intimate bedrooms, and pool areas that frame the tropical surroundings. The use of soft curtains, warm timber, stone surfaces, and indirect lighting gives the interior a calm, tactile, and luxurious character.
Overall, Villa Ventures reflects a balance between contemporary tropical architecture and natural material expression. It was designed as a peaceful private villa that offers comfort, privacy, and a strong visual identity within the distinctive landscape of Uluwatu, Bali.
My Role in the Project
My involvement in Villa Ventures covered the architectural design process and continued through the construction stage until completion. I contributed to developing the design direction, visualizing the spaces, coordinating design ideas, and helping ensure that the built result stayed aligned with the intended architectural atmosphere.
The completed villa demonstrates a design approach that values site response, material texture, and a quiet luxury experience. For me, this project represents an important built work, showing the connection between concept, visualization, construction, and final architectural realization.
